Proper sample preparation is the foundation of quality mycotoxin testing. This is the most often overlooked, crucial step in obtaining accurate test results. Without a properly prepared sample, testing dollars are wasted.

Mycotoxins occur in various commodities, many of them highly complex. Chart Recorders are data acquisition instruments used to generate a graph of data versus time. Dickson Chart Recorders are available with 3" circular charts, 4", 6" and 8". The larger the chart the greater the resolution.

Compact Dry is a ready-to-use test method which helps to reduce the labor hours needed to perform microbial testing. Therefore, it allows maximizing the productivity by increasing efficiency. The plates can be used to test raw materials as well as finished products like food, beverage, meat, cosmetic or others. The Compact Dry plates can also be used like contact plates for difficult area using the Compact Dry swab. Compact Dry is an easy-to-read results test method. Place 1 ml of sample onto the plate. The liquid samples will self diffuse homogenous over the whole plate. Incubate the plates at the temperature specified in the package inserts. The grown colonies are pigmented with different colors, developed by chromomenic substrates and redox indicators. The type of bacteria can be identified by the colors. For further investigation bacteria can be easily picked up.

- LUMITESTER C-100 AND KITS
The LUMITESTER C-100 is a portable luminometer designed for simple and quick measurement of light emission by ATP. Using a compact photomultiplier tube as the light detector, the LUMITESTER C-100 measures low-level light by a photon counting method that ensures high sensitivity and low noise.
The LUMITESTER operates with either a rechargeable battery pack or AC adapter, allowing wide flexibility with regard to measurement locations.

Conventional procedures are largely bound to the reproducibility of the to-be-detected microorganisms. By contrast, procedures using the Lumitester PD -10 N, developed by the Japanese company Kikkoman, allows for the detection of microorganisms without the prior time-con-suming quantification. In addition, the device allows for the detection of product remnants such as food residues, the latter of which tend to be an ideal culture medium for ubiquitous microbes.
